Power outages in Oklahoma due to severe weather

Severe overnight storms cause power outages for thousands in Oklahoma. Live updates on the aftermath and ongoing weather threats.

Severe storms brought rain and hail to Oklahoma on Saturday, March 29, and into the early morning hours of Sunday, March 30.

Those storms also caused many families across the state to deal with the severe weather threat in the dark due to power outages.

As of 12:40 a.m., Sunday, about 3,900 customers across the state experienced power outages due to the severe storms.

1,648 customers in Pottawatomie County did not have power very early Sunday morning.

547 people in Washita County did not have power at that time.
