Shake Shack set to open first Oklahoma location in OKC

The popular burger chain Shake Shack is officially making its way to Oklahoma City, according to an announcement from Oak OKC.

“YES, IT’S HAPPENING! 🍔 Dreams do come true after all, OKC, and your requests for @shakeshack have been answered!” Oak OKC shared in a social media post. “We couldn’t be more excited to announce the coming of this amazing restaurant, and can’t wait to share more details of their opening soon.”

The New York-based fast-casual chain is known for its signature ShackBurger, crinkle-cut fries, and hand-spun shakes.

While an official opening date has not been announced, Oak OKC said they plan to share additional details in the coming weeks.

This marks Shake Shack’s first-ever location in Oklahoma.

“From the very beginning, we asked the community for feedback on the types of retailers and restaurants they want to see at OAK,” said Ryan McNeill, founder of Veritas Development. “Whether it was on social media or in person, we’ve heard the requests for Shake Shack, and we’re proud to bring its first Oklahoma location right here to OAK. These latest additions will further cement OAK as OKC’s premier shopping, dining, and entertainment destination.”

Shake Shack has built a devoted following since its beginnings as a hot dog stand in New York’s Madison Square Park in 2001. It has since expanded to more than 400 locations worldwide.
