The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) has identified two additional probable measles cases, officials announced Friday. The cases were reported on March 14, and an investigation is underway.

Health officials said the individuals were in public settings while contagious, potentially exposing others to the virus. The following locations have been identified as possible exposure sites:

February 27, 2025

  1. Kohl's (12405 E 96th St N, Owasso) | 1:30 - 5:30 p.m.
  2. Aldi (9259 N Owasso Expressway, Owasso) | 4:20 - 7:00 p.m.
  3. Walmart Supercenter (12101 E 96th St N, Owasso) | 5:15 - 8:00 p.m.
  4. Sam’s Club (12905 E 96th St N, Owasso) | 7:00 - 9:21 p.m.
  5. Sprouts Farmers Market (9601 N 133rd E Ave, Owasso) | 7:30 - 10:02 p.m.

March 2, 2025

  1. Lowe’s Home Improvement (1746 S Lynn Riggs Blvd, Claremore) | 7:00 - 9:27 p.m.

Officials urge anyone who visited these locations during the listed times and is unvaccinated, unsure of their vaccine status, or concerned about exposure to complete this form. Health officials will provide further guidance between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., seven days a week.

Those exposed who are not immune should avoid public settings for 21 days from their exposure date. Individuals experiencing flu-like symptoms, fever, or a new rash and who visited these locations should self-isolate and contact their healthcare provider before seeking medical care.

The OSDH Epidemiologist-on-Call can be reached at 405-426-8710 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Health officials confirmed these cases are linked to the Texas and New Mexico outbreak and not the two cases announced on March 11. All four probable cases in Oklahoma involved unvaccinated individuals.

Per state law, measles is an immediately notifiable disease. Health care providers, laboratories, and hospitals must report suspected or confirmed cases to the OSDH immediately at 405-426-8710, available 24/7.

The OSDH is working with the Tulsa Health Department on this investigation and will provide updates at Oklahoma.gov/health/measles
