Former Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver Drake Stoops has been suspended for the first two games of the 2025 NFL season for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Stoops, who spent the 2024 season on the Los Angeles Rams’ practice squad, will still be allowed to participate in training camp and preseason games without restrictions. However, CBS Sports says the suspension could hurt his chances of securing a spot on the team’s 53-man roster.

The former OU fan favorite and son of legendary Sooners coach Bob Stoops has been working to carve out a role in the NFL after a standout career in Norman.
