2 in custody after high-speed chase ends in Norman

Two people are in custody Friday morning in Norman after a pursuit and suspect search, police say.

Investigators say the chase began as a traffic stop along southbound I-35 near Moore, but became a pursuit once the driver sped away from officers.

Oklahoma City Police say the chase came to an end at an apartment complex near 24th Avenue Southwest and West Brooks Street in Norman.

After stopping their vehicle, OCPD said the driver and a passenger fled on foot. Both were later apprehended.

Norman Police assisted OCPD with establishing a perimeter.
