The Oklahoma City Thunder will celebrate the Lunar New Year by showcasing artwork from Asian artists and hosting cultural performances during its Feb. 12 game at Paycom Center.

"Fans will be able to see authentic performances by Lion dancers and we'll also have an authentic Japanese drum team there," said Gayle Maxwell, Director of Corporate Communications for the OKC Thunder.

Maxwell says the Thunder wants the fans to be able to celebrate different cultures.

"You're going to have all kinds of opportunities to get involved in the holiday, and we'll also have even facts running throughout the arena if maybe you're new to the holiday and you want to learn a little bit about it," said Maxwell.

A live artist will create work on the concourse, and additional artwork will be featured on the chalk wall.

"Pretty much any level you are in Paycom Center, you are going to be immersed in the experience," said Maxwell.

Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
