Suspect Runs From Tulsa Police Traffic Stop; Shots Fired By Officers

Tulsa Police say a traffic stop escalated into a pursuit with shots fired on Thursday.

According to TPD, officers made a traffic stop near 5100 S Waco and the armed suspect was not cooperative. Shots were fired, and the suspect took off. Police have said they do not know if the suspect was hit. Officers pursued the suspect to an area near 203rd West Avenue & Coyote Trail just west of Prattville.

Police confirmed that there was a passenger in the car, who was cooperating during the stop and got out of the car. That person is now in custody and being questioned.
