Lincoln County leaders will hold a public meeting on Friday to address concerns from residents regarding a planned construction project.
The project entails the construction of an energy battery storage facility by Black Mountain Energy Storage, a Texas-based energy storage company.
On social media, the Facebook group known as "Save Oklahoma Farms and Ranches" is organizing an effort to protest the planned construction, calling on residents to gather at Friday's meeting and voice their concerns.
According to the group, the proposed construction site lies near Highway 177 and East 990 Road, which is south of Rossville in Lincoln County.
Similarly, dozens of Oologah residents protested a separate planned construction of an energy battery storage facility by Black Mountain Energy Storage on Thursday.

Organizers of the planned protest cited several reasons they are against the proposed construction, including negative impacts to the environment, a loss in property value, strain on water resources and the necessary road and traffic improvements needed to support a project of this magnitude.
Friday's meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Lincoln County Emergency Management office in Chandler.
