Tulsa-based author Kate Minty has released her debut novel, "Pumpkin Spice Meltdown", a lighthearted Thanksgiving-themed romantic comedy.
The book follows a determined woman navigating personal setbacks while striving to host the perfect holiday celebration. Minty describes the novel as "brain candy," offering readers a fun and relaxing escape without heavy themes.
The inspiration for "Pumpkin Spice Meltdown" stemmed from Minty’s love of pie and the lack of Thanksgiving-centered stories in the literary world. She completed the initial draft in just over a month but spent an additional six months editing.

Though "Pumpkin Spice Meltdown" marks Minty’s first published work, it’s far from her only project. After beginning her writing journey in earnest in 2020, Minty has written several books waiting for publishing.
Born and raised in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Minty has lived in Tulsa for 25 years. Recently, she founded a Tulsa-based writing group, which she credits for improving her craft and building a supportive, creative community.
Signed copies of "Pumpkin Spice Meltdown" are available at Tulsa Vintage Company and Gone Country Boutique in Sapulpa. The book is also available for order online, with audiobook versions offered on Spotify and Google Play.
