Severe Storms in Green Country caused some flooding in some areas of Tulsa over the weekend.
A couple who lives at 41st Street and Yale Avenue said that their basement was filled with six inches of water.
Patrick Boulden says dealing with a flooded basement is not only damaging to his entire property but tough to go through since it's not the first time it's happened here.
Boulden said that in the past 24 hours, he's been going in and out of his flooded basement every hour, to flush out the water.
"When the water ran dry we could disconnect them and when the water rose again, we came down to turn them on so the motors wouldn't burn out," Boulden said.
He said that his wife went down to the basement last night to grab something and saw the water more than ankle-deep.
"Oh no here we go again. I mean we all have things to do, she had to take off work because we were waiting for plumbers to come, waiting for the city to come and check the line," said Boulden.
Boulden says his basement was flooded eight years ago just two days after Christmas, with three feet of water.
"It destroyed our heater, air conditioning, as well as our hot water heater, so we had to replace both of them. At the same time we had to stay in a hotel because we did not have heat at the end of December and we did not have hot water," said Boulden.
He said that at that time, A Tulsa city employee came to see why the basement was flooding, and said it should have been fixed already.
"With that, we were able to find the records of the city being aware of the damaged pipe but it had never been taken care of, the city took care of it for us, as far as, what it paid us, you know for our damages," he said.
He had a plumber come out Monday to check his line and was told it was clear.
"I have a suspicion that the line is somehow blocked again if that is something they knew in advance, I do not know," he said.
News On 6 contacted the city and they said they'd send an employee out to look at the Boulden's basement, and they did.
Boulden says that the city told him the city line was clear, and Boulden needs the plumber to come back and re-check his line.
