Halloween is finally here, and the sounds of "Trick or Treat" will echo through neighborhoods across Green Country. While the holiday is mostly for kids to dress up in costumes, some people at work chose to embrace the spirit of Halloween.

It's just another Thursday at the office—phone calls to take and patients to treat. But to take a break from the mundane, the doctors and nurses at Pediatric and Adolescent Care stayed home, and instead, Buzz, Woody, the little green men, and the toy soldier showed up in their place.

"It's fun,” said Lizzie Zientara, a nurse who dressed up as a toy soldier. “I think if I could wear green face paint every day, I would. It definitely changes the pace."

With his cowboy hat and stethoscope, everyone's favorite deputy—known by his patients as Dr. Zetik—made his rounds.

"I was voluntold that I was going to be a character from Toy Story," he said.

And it was appreciated by the families he saw.

"It takes a little bit of that hardness out of going to the doctor. Nobody wants to go to the doctor on Halloween anyway; they want to be doing fun things. But if you have to come in because you are sick or have a checkup, it's nice that you are greeted by the cast of your favorite movie characters."

Kids follow their doctor's directions every day, but on Halloween, the staff here takes a page out of their book.

"I think life is serious and can be really hard, but every once in a while, you have to stop and just be a kid," Zetik said.
