The Porch Visits El Reno Bookmobile That Gives Back To The Community

Giving back is an important and special way to show love and kindness to those who dedicate themselves to serving our communities.

The El Reno Bookmobile is doing just that by traveling around El Reno, providing books and other pieces of literature for children who live in the area.

News 9's Jordan Ryan took the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to the Bookmobile to check out the selection of books and see the impact it has on the community.

The Bookmobile features over 200 books for kids to choose from, with the contents ranging from Disney classics to Flat Stanley.

Amy, an organizer for the program, shared why giving back to the community is such an integral part of the program.

"It's important for the community, so it was important for our church to have a program that would give kids books that they could keep, instead of most bookmobile programs or checkouts. We wanted one that was a free book giveaway program so that kids can keep these books forever and ever," Amy said.
