Awesome weather continues across Green Country as the weekend arrives!

What is the forecast today?

Steady south-southeast winds will usher in another quick warm-up for our Friday. Temperatures will climb another few degrees over the past few days with highs in the mid-70s this afternoon. If you’re headed to Oktoberfest, HallowZooeen, or any other outdoor activities late in the day, the weather will be ideal as temperatures cool.

Friday Highs

It'll be another day of elevated fire danger as well. South-southeast winds gusting over 20 miles per hour would allow any fires that spark to spread pretty quickly, so it won’t be an ideal afternoon for outdoor burning. If you had prescribed burns planned, Saturday and Sunday will be better for that as winds trend lighter over the weekend.

What is the weekend forecast?

Saturday and Sunday will be beautiful too! We’ll continue with cool mornings and sunny, warm afternoons as highs reach the upper 70s with lighter southeast winds.

Weekend Forecast

What is the forecast for next week?

Meaningful rain chances are still, unfortunately, very hard to come by. A strong storm system this weekend will bring good rains to the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles, but by Monday that system will shift mostly to our north, leaving us with only a slight chance for a few showers near and north of Tulsa from Monday into early Tuesday.

We’re seeing signs of another surge of much warmer temperatures next week, so enjoy the fall weather while we’ve got it!
