1 Person Hospitalized After Being Struck By Vehicle In NW Oklahoma City

One person was hospitalized after a vehicle struck them in northwest Oklahoma City, police said.

Oklahoma City Police responded to the scene at around 7:15 a.m. near Northwest 39th Street and North Portland Avenue.

According to OCPD, the victim was walking in the middle of traffic, and the driver of the oncoming vehicle said the sun was in their eyes when they struck the pedestrian.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle happened to both be nurses, and stayed on scene to assist the victim, according to OCPD.

According to authorities, the victim is in serious condition.
