Lex Rodriguez

Lex Rodriguez joined News On 6 in August 2022 as a multimedia journalist.

Lex is a combat veteran with 6 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. He served a tour in Afghanistan from 2012-2013 earning the Joint Service Achieve medal for meritorious service. In 2016, he was medically retired and returned to school while training service dogs for veterans in Tampa and Southwest Florida. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Digital Cinematography in 2018 and continued to earn his Masters degree in Journalism from Full Sail University in 2019.

Lex worked as a Director of Photography for various musical artists through live concerts and music videos. He was also a cinematographer on set of Facebook's first live cooking show, On Time Cooking. 

In late 2019, Lex moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where his parents currently live. After working in construction from 2019-2021, he returned to the world of journalism as a Photojournalist at KFSM in Northwest Arkansas in January 2022.

In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and photography. He is always open to suggestions for places to explore and books to read.
