Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, Diocese of Tulsa announce plans for new online private school

After the Supreme Court blocked plans for St. Isidore, a publicly funded Catholic charter school, the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the Diocese of Tulsa announced Saint Carlo Acutis Classical Academy, a private K–8 online school opening in August.

A new online Catholic private school will be coming to Oklahoma after the U.S. Supreme Court blocked plans for what would have been the nation's first publicly-funded religious charter school.

The announcement comes months after the U.S. Supreme Court blocked their attempt to create a publicly funded religious charter school.

Instead of a publicly-funded school, the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the Diocese of Tulsa say Saint Carlo Acutis Classical Academy will be a private school.

The school is set to open in August for students from kindergarten through 8th grade.
