The Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma are gearing up for a free event this weekend, intended to inspire friendship and create lasting memories for young women across the state, whether they are Girl Scouts or not.
On the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch, the Girl Scouts are sharing more about the free event, Camp Trivera, located in Oklahoma City.
Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma CEO Stacy McNeiland and Brownie Avery Howk say Bestie Bash is the best way to get involved in the organization.
McNeiland says Bestie Bash is open to all K-12 girls regardless of Girl Scout membership.
"It's going to be so much fun; if you're interested in becoming a Girl Scout, we invite you out," McNeiland said. "We're going to have bounce houses, food, music, all that good stuff. There are so many benefits of being a Girl Scout."
The event will feature inflatables, food trucks, face painting, jewelry making, music, and more.
All attendees must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bestie Bash is on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the grounds of Camp Trivera.
Camp Trivera is located at 2508 NE 50th Street in Oklahoma City.
