Struck gas line temporarily closes QuikTrip near Route 66 and W. 23rd St.

A gas line was struck near a QuikTrip at W. 23rd St. and Southwest Boulevard on Thursday, temporarily causing the cross street and store to close.

The QuikTrip convenience store located on Route 66 at W. 23rd St. in Tulsa is closed this afternoon as authorities investigate a possible gas leak.

Firefighters on the scene tell News On 6 that a gas line was struck, causing Tulsa Police and Fire to respond and shut down 21st St. and the store.

Tape has been put up to keep customers away and employees have been sent out of the store.
