The state of Oklahoma has no shortage of elite football talent in the 2027 class and Bixby’s Kaeden Penny might be the at the top of several wish lists for teams.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 285 pounds heading into his junior season, Penny is already a dominant force in the trenches for the seven-time defending state champion Spartans.

Penny’s mix of size, athleticism, and technique has made him one of the most sought-after recruits in the country. The four-star prospect is ranked as the No. 30 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite for the 2027 class, and No. 2 overall in Oklahoma. He currently sits 45th in the national composite rankings for 247 and 34th nationally according to Rivals.

Who is After Penny in Recruiting?

Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Auburn, and Ohio State are all after his services, with the Bixby standout also recently picking up an offer from Miami.

It's not only busy on the high school football front for Penny, but look for visits to Norman for OU’s matchup with Michigan and a stop in Columbus when Texas visits Ohio State in Week 1.

Respected by Teammates and Coaches

Penny’s talent and leadership are already felt across the Bixby program.

“The energy he gives off to the O-line, they feed off of it and then that makes them play better,” Braeden Presley said. “He’s a young player, but he’s really an old player just because of the experience and the growth he’s had. I feel like him coming into the season, he’s going to be one of the biggest stars.”

Bixby head coach Loren Montgomery has coached countless linemen during his career — and says Penny is in rare company.

“Kaeden is one of the most talented offensive linemen that I’ve ever worked with in 26 years of coaching,” Montgomery said. “He’s humble, extremely smart, and has great feet, great hands, and long arms. He had an excellent sophomore year, and we’re expecting big things his junior and senior year.”

With a combination of physical tools, high football IQ, and relentless work ethic, Penny has positioned himself as one of the nation’s premier linemen and one of the most important recruits to watch in the coming years.
