Dr. Jennettie Marshall, a former Tulsa Public Schools board member, has announced her candidacy for Oklahoma state superintendent, joining an evolving race.

Dr. Jennettie Marshall, a former Tulsa Public Schools board member, has announced she is running for Oklahoma state superintendent.

Marshall will face former Bixby Superintendent Rob Miller in the race. Other candidates who have filed include John Cox of Peggs, Ana Landsaw of Tahlequah, and Riley Williams of Calera.

The election will determine the successor to lead the state’s public education system.
