A woman was stabbed on a bus in Tulsa over the weekend, according to police.
The Tulsa Police Department said the 43-year-old female victim underwent surgery after the suspect assaulted her by slicing her throat from behind with a knife.
At approximately 1:09 p.m. officers responded to reports of a stabbing incident at a bus station located near the intersection of Cheyenne Ave. and West 3rd St.
Robert J. Rhoades and the victim boarded the bus at the Walmart stop on 81st and Lewis. Rhoades sat directly behind the woman and had no prior interactions or verbal exchanges, according to witnesses.
As the bus arrived at the main station, Rhoades reached around and allegedly assaulted the victim by slicing her throat before leaving the scene on foot, according to officials.

Bicycle patrol officers located Rhoades at the intersection of S. Denver Ave. and W. 1st St, according to authorities.
Rhoades had visible blood on his clothing and a bloody knife was found in his pocket, according to police.
Rhoades was taken into custody without incident and has now been booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and false impersonation. He is also being held on a fugitive from justice warrant out of Missouri, according to officials.
