Tulsa Botanic Garden is celebrating National Mutt Day with a special event on Thursday, July 31. The evening, called Dog Night, runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and encourages families to bring their dogs for a stroll through the gardens.
Organizers say there will be wading pools and pup cups available to keep dogs cool in the summer heat. Local ice cream shop Cherry and Bark will also have a cart on site serving flavors like Boozy Blueberry and Thyme Graham Cracker for people attending.
The event is part of the garden’s summer Thursday night series, which features extended hours and themed programming. Visitors can explore FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN, a traveling exhibit of large-scale metal sculptures inspired by origami and nature. The pieces, created by Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box, will remain on display through Sept. 21.
Regular admission applies for the event: $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 3 to 15. Garden members receive free admission. Families with WIC, SNAP or Oklahoma Foster Parent Benefit cards can qualify for discounted tickets.
