Bixby offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Tyler Schneider has been named the 2025 Oklahoma recipient of the High School Broyles Award, honoring the top assistant high school football coach in each participating state.
Presented by the Frank & Barbara Broyles Foundation and FieldTurf, the High School Broyles Award recognizes elite coaching performance based solely on the most recent season, not lifetime achievement. Schneider’s leadership and offensive innovation played a pivotal role in Bixby’s continued dominance on the field.
Launched in 2019 as an extension of the prestigious college Broyles Award, the high school honor highlights assistant coaches as the backbone of program success, those who prepare, teach, and lead daily behind the scenes.
Now entering his 14th season as the Spartans’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Schneider has played a key role in establishing one of the most dominant high school football programs in the country. During his tenure, Bixby has made 11 trips to the 6A playoffs with a staggering 29-2 record, winning ten state titles and finishing runner-up once. Bixby has a 124-17 record over the past 11 seasons.
Schneider and this year’s state winners will be celebrated at the High School Broyles Award Ring Ceremony on February 13, 2026, at Oaklawn Resort in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The event will feature Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire as a special guest.
