Traffic alert: Drivers should expect delays as road work begins in Owasso

Construction in Owasso is set to begin Monday, July 28, as part of the 2025 Street Rehabilitation Project.

The work will take place on East 116th Street North between North Memorial Drive and North 97th East Avenue. Crews will repair the subgrade, then mill, overlay with new asphalt, and apply fresh striping.

During the early repair phase, traffic will be flagged through the area during the day, and the road will reopen at night. However, once asphalt work begins, a full road closure will be necessary. Officials say advance notice will be provided before any closures take place.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the construction zone and follow all signage and instructions from flaggers.
