As devastating flooding continues to impact communities across Texas, one Oklahoma-based company is stepping up to help in a major way.
Milo’s Tea Company temporarily paused its tea and lemonade production at its Tulsa-area facility to shift focus toward bottling and delivering clean drinking water to those in need.
Tricia Wallwork, Chair and CEO of Milo’s Tea Company, shared in a LinkedIn post that the decision wasn’t based on business—it was rooted in compassion.
“Yesterday, we made the decision to pause tea and lemonade production... not for a business reason, but because our neighbors in Texas need clean drinking water more than anything else right now,” Wallwork wrote. “As a mother, wife and human, my prayers go out to all those impacted by the horrific flooding in Texas.”
The response from the Milo’s team was immediate. Within 24 hours, operations, supply chain, logistics and other departments mobilized to deliver relief.
On Sunday, five truckloads with 124 pallets carrying more than 119,000 bottles of Milo’s bottled water arrived at the San Antonio Food Bank.
Wallwork said the effort was made possible thanks to partnerships with R.E. Garrison Trucking, which donated transportation, and organizations like Feeding America and H-E-B.
“We’ll continue showing up authentically where we’re needed — with heart, humility, and help,” Wallwork added.
