QuikTrip announced Friday it is donating $250,000 to help communities recover from the deadly floods in Texas.
The money will go to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, which is distributing more than $30 million in relief funds to support families, local organizations, and first responders impacted by the disaster.
“Our hearts are with the families and communities impacted by the devastating floods in Kerr County and across the Texas Hill Country,” the company said in a statement. “This tragedy hits especially close to home. We are profoundly grateful to the first responders and rescue teams working tirelessly to protect and support those in need.”
QuikTrip President Kevin Thornton added, “Texas is home to so many of our employees, customers, and friends — and we mourn these losses deeply.”
The Tulsa-based convenience store chain said it has approximately 4,000 employees living and working in Texas.
