A new monthly event invites Tulsans to come together, share ideas and build something bigger. CreativeMornings, an international network that brings creative professionals into one space, has officially launched a Tulsa chapter.
Organizers say the effort is about more than just networking — it's about creating a ripple effect of innovation and collaboration that spans across industries.
CreativeMornings operates in more than 200 cities around the world, offering free, monthly gatherings for people across artistic and business communities. Each session centers around a theme and includes a guest speaker, discussion time and informal networking.
The Tulsa chapter launched with help from local partners, including Build In Tulsa and Tulsa Remote.
Shacole Hamlett, the host of CreativeMornings Tulsa, said the group’s mission is to reintroduce connection and collaboration in a post-pandemic world.
“That is definitely something that we are very excited about — to get people out, to get people to interact, learn a little bit more about their community and what other people are doing,” Hamlett said.
The Tulsa gatherings will take place once a month on Friday mornings and are free to attend. Each event features a local speaker and time for idea-sharing, with the goal of sparking projects and partnerships.
Hamlett said these in-person conversations often lead to something much greater beyond the meeting room.
“There’s a large variety of ways that the collaboration that happens, the connections that are made at CreativeMornings turns into something bigger and more fulfilling outside of the actual meeting space,” she said.
CreativeMornings Tulsa encourages residents from all industries — not just those in the arts — to attend. Organizers believe anyone with ideas and curiosity can contribute to Tulsa’s creative future.
The first event took place on Friday morning. Anyone interested in signing up for future sessions can visit CreativeMornings' website.
