First responders in two Green Country cities rescued ducklings from storm drains Monday, reuniting them with their families.

In Broken Arrow, firefighters responded to a neighborhood after residents reported ducklings had fallen into a storm drain. The adult ducks were seen nearby, visibly distressed.

Crews opened the drain and tested the air for dangerous gases before climbing down to retrieve approximately eight ducklings. They were safely brought to the surface and reunited with their family.

In a separate rescue, the Owasso Police Department helped save a group of ducklings that had become trapped in a storm drain. Officers removed the birds and released them safely into a nearby pond to reunite with their mom.
