All 44 residents of the Mannford Nursing Home were safely evacuated after a nearby wildfire threatened the facility. No injuries were reported.

The fire, which approached from the north, did not disrupt power to the nursing home. "Our maintenance guy went in this morning at 6 a.m. Everything looks great," owner Frank Sullivan said. "We are working on getting everyone back in the building."

Staff members Ricki Jo and Jamie coordinated the evacuation, ensuring all residents were safely relocated. Meanwhile, firefighters formed a defensive line, preventing the flames from spreading further into the town.

"They absolutely lined up the trucks, lined up the water, and started soaking all of those homes that were next in line for the flames," Sullivan said. "They kept all of Mannford from burning down."

With conditions now stable, residents are being transported back to the facility. Sullivan expressed gratitude to the firefighters and emergency personnel for their efforts in protecting the community.
