Man arrested, accused of murder in Tulsa's 2nd homicide of 2025

A man has been arrested and accused of murder following another man's in a vacant lot in Tulsa on Friday, police say.

Tulsa Police said detectives and officers investigating the homicide used help from citizens and surveillance cameras to place Jason Lynn under arrest for murder.

TPD said Lynn confessed to getting into a fight with the victim, Alan Underwood Jr., near 100 S. Utica on Jan 10th. Officers said Underwood Jr's injuries were severe enough to cause his death.

Lynn is a tribal member and will be prosecuted in either tribal or federal court, TPD says. He is currently being held on an FBI hold.

Tulsa Police have confirmed that they are investigating a homicide near 1st and Utica on Friday.

Police said the man who appears to have been homeless was found dead at 102 S Utica. Police said it looks like the man may have been beaten to death and had injuries that suggest an assault. This is the second homicide of 2025 in Tulsa.

There are no suspects at this time.
