The Oklahoma City Thunder set the franchise record for longest win streak in a season this year after defeating the Boston Celtics.

Previously, the OKC Thunder won 12 games in a row during the 2012-13 season with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Before that, the Seattle Supersonics won 14 in a row in 1996.

The Thunder last lost on Dec. 1, 2024 to the Houston Rockets, 119-116.

Now, the new era of Thunder basketball is leaving its own mark in the record books. OKC looks to extend the streak Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers

Jalen Williamsย scored 28 points, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 26 points, seven assists and six rebounds, and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Utah Jazz 133-106 in an NBA Cup game.

The Thunder, who improved to 30-5, have not lost a game that counted in the standings since Dec. 1. Their loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Cup final does not count on the team's record.

Oklahoma City, much like it did Friday against New York, refused to cave when it fell behind by double digits. The Thunder hung around, then outscored the Celtics 29-12 in the fourth quarter.
