Route 66 Christmas Tree Farm Debuts In Red Fork District

TULSA, Okla. -

A unique holiday attraction crafted from upcycled artificial Christmas trees is set to open in Tulsa’s Red Fork District on Saturday.

Art Emporium 66 spearheaded the effort earlier this year, inviting the community to donate unused artificial trees. The goal was to transform the donations into a snowglobe-inspired forest for visitors to explore.

In October, volunteers cleaned and prepared the site at 4077 Southwest Boulevard, part of a historic strip of Route 66 buildings that have been unused for decades.

The result is the Route 66 Christmas Tree Farm, which aims to attract tourists from around the globe traveling the iconic highway.

Art Emporium 66 plans for the attraction to remain open year-round.

The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 30, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., featuring a ribbon cutting, the first lighting of the trees, and festivities including snow, elves, hot drinks, and live entertainment.
