Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump clashed over the federal government's response to Hurricane Helene.

Trump criticized FEMA, claiming the agency isn’t doing enough, while Harris said crews are working "around the clock."

Harris appeared on The View Tuesday, where she focused on home health care, but her appearance came amid a recent poll showing a quarter of registered voters want to know more about her.

In a separate interview with 60 Minutes, Harris addressed campaign issues, including immigration. She noted efforts to cut illegal immigration by half during the Biden administration.

Meanwhile, with less than a month until Election Day, 25 states have already started early voting, with nearly 2 million ballots cast.

Trump reiterated his criticism of the Biden administration’s response to the hurricane, calling it "unbelievably weak."

Trump has falsely claimed multiple times that FEMA is diverting funds or only helping Democrats. Harris denounced this misinformation as "extraordinarily irresponsible."

More than a million registered voters in North Carolina, a key battleground state, live in areas affected by Hurricane Helene.
