A man who was on probation for a sex crime, has also been charged with raping a 16-year-old girl. He was a Cushing teacher when he was first convicted in 2018.
The 16-year-old girl told police she was attacked in July 2024, and despite her repeatedly saying no, the attack didn't stop. Stillwater police arrested Seth Swaim for the sexual assault.
The affidavit said it happened at a gas station in Stillwater. The victim said Swaim pulled up and said he wanted to talk to her about his brother. She got in his truck, but once she felt uncomfortable, she tried to get out, but Swaim wouldn't let her.
The victim told police Swaim held her down and forcefully raped her.
Records show Swaim is a registered sex offender, who served 1 year in jail and got 10 years' probation for a previous sex crime. Back in 2018, he was convicted for sending sexual snap chats to a 13-year-old, while he was a teacher at a Cushing middle school.
At that time, Stillwater Police said, “He could face some lengthy prison time, as well having to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.”
Swaim has not been employed by Cushing public schools since 2018.
