FC Tulsa will be sporting a new look during its home opener with a special kit inspired by the Oklahoma state tree, the Eastern Redbud.
The kit will be entirely pink, with black accents, and will feature an outline of the state of Oklahoma on the bottom left of the jersey top. The words "Redbud State Tree" are written inside the outline. On the back of the jersey, there will be an outline of the Redbud Tree above the player's name.
The Redbud tree became the official state tree on June 24th, 1971, under Gov. David Hall. It can be found throughout Oklahoma and is recognized by heart-shaped leaves which some say evoke a message of love.
April 5 is the home opener for FC Tulsa as they take on Phoenix Rising FC at ONEOK Field. The team will be looking to improve this season after an up-and-down 2023.
