Over 135,000 are still without power on Tuesday morning after an intense storm brought down trees and damaged powerlines around Green Country.
Officials from the Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) say crews are working around the clock to get power on, with most of Tulsa County expected to see the restoration of service by Saturday afternoon, if not sooner. Places like Chouteau, Vinita, and Grove that use PSO can expect to see power restored on Tuesday on Wednesday.
Dozens of trucks are lined at the Tulsa Fairgrounds and are ready to roll out again on Tuesday to help restore power. According to PSO, there are currently over 2,000 people in Green Country from 20 different states.
PSO says crews say they believe more than 700 poles were broken in the storms, which is what's causing some of the outages.
PSO is encouraging the public to sign up for email or text alerts, that way they can be notified if their power comes back on.
