Authorities: Suspect Confesses To Killings After 3 Bodies Discovered In Shallow Grave

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is investigating after three bodies were found in a shallow grave at Eldon Hill, just east of Tahlequah.

The Tahlequah Daily Press reported that a sheriff in Arkansas contacted Sheriff Jason Chennault and said the brother of one of the victims found the grave.

The sheriff said all three bodies have been identified, but no names have been released.

The Daily Press reported deputies found and arrested the suspect, Robert Lewis, at a casino on Friday night.

They said he admitted to killing all three victims and burying them on his property but didn't say why.
