STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- A mother charged with first-degree murder in the methamphetamine overdose of her teenage daughter appeared in court Friday afternoon, along with two other suspects in the case.
Heather Gaddis, Jeffery Phillips, and the teen's mother Doris Rigsby appeared before a Payne County judge who asked them if they'd hired attorneys. When all three suspects answered no, the judge said the court would appoint one for each of t hem.
All three are being held without bail. They're charged with first-degree murder in the death of 15-year-old Linda Tucker. Tucker died June 26 of a meth overdose during a family reunion at Lake Carl Blackwell.
Investigators said Rigsby, Phillips and Gaddis gave her the drug. The medical examiner's office later determined Tucker had 10 times the lethal amount of meth in her system.
