Mannford Police say they are evacuating all of Mannford City limits and anything South of Hwy 51.
People need to grab their belongings and evacuate to either Lakeside Baptist Church or Case Community Center. The Red Cross are on standby.
LIVE UPDATES: Wildfire outbreak in Northeastern Oklahoma
Around 5:30 p.m., the fire jumped 41st Street, heading in the direction of the city limits of Mannford.
At 5:45 p.m., Mannford Police were in town to help with evacuations. The fire is just south of the high school.
Around 5:50 p.m., Sand Springs Fire Department was dispatched to Mannford to help with the fires.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol shut down OK-48 at W 321st St S due to the fire.
The wildfire crossed Highway 48 in Creek County as flames spread across Northeast Oklahoma.
At 6:15 p.m. in Mannford, it was extremely windy and smokey, with low visibility. People have been evacuating from the area.
Mannford fire crews that were trying to prevent the fire from moving in were making their way back to help protect the city around 6:25 p.m.
Some homes have burned on the south side of Mannford, and winds are incredibly strong, but the firefighters are trying to keep the fire from coming into the city.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said around 6:45 p.m. that multiple apartment buildings and multiple houses were on fire.
7 p.m. – Fire continues to approach the city of Mannford. Reinforcements of tanker trucks filled with water have come in to help.
7:15 p.m. – Fires are starting to reach town with a large building on fire. Firefighters are struggling to gain control of the fire.
7:20 p.m. - OHP and Lighthorse Police shutting down Highway 51 in the area to prevent people from getting into Mannford. People can still evacuate from Mannford, but law enforcement doesn't want people coming into the city.
7:35 p.m. – Fires are continuing to spread, Mannford History Museum was surrounded by fire, but firefighters were working to save it. Crews from all over are working to control the fires.
Several horses in the area ran away from the fire to be closer to safety. People in the area have told News On 6 that they are worried about their livestock.
