A notable new addition to the downtown Tulsa skyline is turning heads: a massive blue banner now hangs on the side of the Davenport Lofts along the Inner Dispersal Loop.

The banner, measuring 80 feet tall by 30 feet wide, was still being adjusted as of Friday morning, with the final section expected to be fully unfurled later in the day.

The installation was commissioned by Tulsa residents and Davenport investors John and Leigh Reaves as a gift to both the city and its arts community.

The piece was created by Peter Tunney, a renowned contemporary artist known for bold, large-scale works. The canvas celebrates all things Tulsa, featuring imagery and messages inspired by the city's culture and character.

Once fully installed, the banner will serve as a public-facing tribute to Tulsa’s creative spirit and continued growth.
