A Miller EMS ambulance caught fire on the Turner Turnpike Monday afternoon, the company confirmed to News On 6.

This happened in the eastbound lanes, just west of where Highway 66 crosses the turnpike near Kellyville.

Osage Skynews 6 was overhead as authorities began to clear the roadway around noon. Video showed the charred vehicle was heavily damaged.

No injuries were reported.

The company said the ambulance was carrying a patient for a non-emergency when the fire occurred. They said it looks like the fire started under the hood, but an investigation will determine the exact cause.

Miller EMS said a Creek County ambulance picked up the patient.
