Arkansas State Police say they are searching for a suspect after two people were found dead on a Devil's Den State Park hiking trail Saturday afternoon.

Officials say 43-year-old Clinton David Brink and 41-year-old Cristen Amanda Brink were stabbed while hiking on a popular trail with their daughters, who survived the incident. Both children are currently safe with family members.

The search for the suspect is ongoing according to authorities, and the suspect is described as a white male with a medium build, wearing a long-sleeved shirt with rolled-up sleeves, dark pants, a dark ballcap, sunglasses and fingerless gloves. He was also seen carrying a black backpack.

The suspect was seen driving a black, 4-door sedan, possibly a Mazda, with tape covering the license plate toward a park exit. The car may have been traveling on State Route 170 or 220 according to police.

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Sanders has released a statement, ensuring law enforcement is working diligently to bring the perpetrator to justice.

This is a developing story.
