The Oklahoma Aquarium has been recognized with a 2025 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award, earning a spot among the top 10% of attractions around the world based on consistent positive feedback from visitors.
The annual award celebrates businesses that consistently deliver outstanding experiences, with winners determined by the quality and quantity of traveler reviews collected over the past 12 months.
“We’re honored that our guests continue to share their experiences and help us earn this distinction,” the aquarium said in a statement. “As a nonprofit, every visit helps us care for animals, inspire conservation, and provide life-changing education opportunities.”
As the state’s only ocean, the Oklahoma Aquarium offers a one-of-a-kind experience with more than 10,000 aquatic animals and signature exhibits, including the world’s largest collection of bull sharks. The award further reinforces the Aquarium’s growing international reputation for conservation, education, and guest engagement.
More than 300,000 visitors come through the Aquarium’s doors each year. The organization credits its continued success to both the support of the public and its mission-driven focus.
The award arrives during the Aquarium’s annual Sharklahoma celebration—a month-long event spotlighting sharks and marine conservation. It also follows a memorable honor bestowed on the Aquarium’s resident sea turtle, Seamore, who was recently given a symbolic Key to the City, believed to be a one-of-a-kind recognition among turtles nationwide.
