The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) is giving the public a chance to bid on a wide range of surplus items—most notably, used pickups—through an online auction that closes Monday, July 28.
The auction is hosted at purplewave.com/auction/250729, where potential buyers can view and bid on items after registering.
ODWC periodically sells off surplus inventory to refresh its fleet and equipment. This round includes a large number of pickups, which are typically in high demand.
Other items up for grabs include:
“These vehicles undergo scheduled maintenance from the time we purchase them new to when we sell them,” said Daniel Griffith, property manager for the department.
Beyond offering value to bidders, the auction directly supports ODWC’s mission.
“The sale of these items helps bring back funds into the department to help purchase new vehicles and equipment, or to fund projects,” Griffith said. “Those who purchase these items directly help fund the wildlife department and its activities to conserve fish and wildlife.”
