Police confirm a serious injury crash in Owasso

UPDATE: Owasso Police Department official statement.

Owasso Police responded to a motorcycle crash around 5 p.m. on the southbound lanes of N Garnett Rd at 100th St N. The motorcycle rider struck the concrete center median and the motorcycle flipped several times.

Owasso Fire Department medics transported the rider to the hospital in critical condition.

OPD collision investigators are working the scene and are asking anyone that actually saw the initial collision (with the median), or saw the motorcycle traveling in the moments right before the crash to contact the lead Collision Investigation.

Authorities say N Garnett Road at 100th St. N Northbound lanes are shut down until first responders clear the scene. One southbound lane is open and traffic delays are expected.

Traffic will be affected for the next few hours, and a reopening time has not been set for the time being.
