Eskimo Joe’s opens 25-year-old time capsule to celebrate 50th anniversary

Eskimo Joe’s is 50 years old! It celebrated the milestone by digging up a piece of its past.

The popular Stillwater restaurant opened a time capsule that was buried 25 years ago outside the building. Photos shared on Facebook show the moment the capsule was brought inside and opened, revealing nostalgic treasures from decades ago.

Inside were vintage items like old menus, a retro Eskimo Joe’s T-shirt, and even a seat cushion from years past.

Eskimo Joe himself was on hand for the big reveal, adding to the celebration as longtime fans and staff gathered to take part.

The City of Stillwater also joined in by officially proclaiming July 21 as Eskimo Joe’s 50th Anniversary Day, marking the occasion with local pride and community recognition.
