Some homes in Rogers County were damaged after strong storms tore off roofs and uprooted trees. The towns of Foyil and Chelsea were hit by strong winds and heavy rainfall.
"We were just watching it rain and then it changed," said Jesse Barnes, a Foyil homeowner.
A portion of Barnes' roof was ripped off, and water poured into the family home.
"There was water gushing in," he said. "We were trying to put stuff under it, catch it and everything."
The Barneses have had to temporarily leave their home because of the damage.
There is damage to an apartment near a storage facility. The renter tells News On 6 he lost almost everything.
Parts of nearby highways and other streets were temporarily closed because of heavy rainfall. Rogers County Emergency Management Director Scotty Stokes said the water in those areas has receded.
Stokes said many people are dealing with gravel driveways washed out. No injuries have been reported.
The National Weather Service has not determined the extent of the storm.
