Woman succumbs to injuries from Tulsa house fire that killed man on Friday

A Tulsa man is dead and a woman critically injured after a house fire near West 41st Street, as investigators work to determine the cause.

A late-night house fire in west Tulsa has left one man dead and a woman in critical condition, according to firefighters.

The blaze broke out around 10 p.m. Friday near West 41st Street and South 39th West Avenue, according to authorities. Tulsa firefighters responded quickly and rescued two people from the burning home. A man was pulled from the front of the house, while a woman was rescued through the back.

Officials say the man later died at the hospital. Firefighters say the woman survived and remains in critical condition as of Saturday morning.

Fire investigators are working to determine what caused the fire. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
