2 walkaway inmates from LeFlore County prison captured in Arkansas

The two inmates who unlawfully walked away from a LeFlore County prison over the weekend have been captured in Arkansas, authorities say.

The two inmates who walked away from a prison in LeFlore County on Saturday were captured in Arkansas, authorities say.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections said Justin Turner, 33, and David James, 42, unlawfully walked away from the Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center in Hodgen, Oklahoma, around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.

Officials confirmed both Turner and James were arrested in Mena, Arkansas, by the Mena Police Department on Wednesday.

Authorities are searching for two inmates who walked away from a prison in LeFlore County on Saturday.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections said Justin Turner, 33, and David James, 42, unlawfully walked away from the Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center in Hodgen, Oklahoma, around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.

ODOC said Turner is serving a 5-year sentence for assault and battery on a police officer and trafficking drugs in Oklahoma County. James is serving a 16-year sentence for possession of a controlled drugs with intent to distribute and trafficking in Kay County.

Authorities say if you see them, do not approach them and call 911.
