Family evacuated from Choctaw home due to fire

A family in Choctaw evacuated their home Thursday morning due to a fire, firefighters say.

A home caught fire Thursday morning in Choctaw, resulting in the evacuation of its residents, according to firefighters.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to the scene of the fire shortly after 2 a.m. near Southeast 44th Street and Indian Meridian Road.

The family living at the home evacuated safely, although it is not known how many occupants were inside the home at the time of the fire.

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
